Treeworks Marketplace

Listing rules

Short version: list real gear, describe it honestly, price it yourself, deal directly with buyers. The rest below.

Welcome here

  • Firewood, mulch, woodchip, timber slabs and salvage
  • Chainsaws, chippers, shredders, stump grinders, climbing and rigging gear, PPE, EWPs and access equipment
  • Trailers and trucks used in tree work
  • New old stock and used gear, with condition stated honestly
  • Tree services and trade sellers, provided each listing is a real offer at a real price

Not allowed

  • Uncertified or misrepresented life-support climbing or fall-arrest gear (harnesses, ropes, connectors, karabiners) - provenance and condition must be genuine, not just claimed
  • Wood listed as "seasoned" or "dry" when it is actually green, or volumes measured in vague units instead of confirmed cubic metres
  • Firewood or untreated timber listed or offered in a way that ignores current biosecurity movement restrictions
  • Protected or illegally harvested timber, and demolition timber contaminated with asbestos
  • Machinery with safety guards, interlocks or other safety devices removed or defeated
  • Claims of a licence, ticket or qualification for tree work where one is legally required and the seller does not hold it
  • Stolen or unlawful equipment, weapons, chemicals, or anything unrelated to the tree trade
  • Placeholder, joke or duplicate listings, and listings whose real purpose is advertising another business

Moderation

Listings go live immediately and are reviewed after publication. Reported listings are checked first. A listing that breaks these rules is removed; a seller who repeatedly breaks them loses the account. Report anything that looks wrong with the report link on the listing - reports are anonymous to the seller.
